Left handed people and right handed people can do boxing. This makes some punches switch to different hands. In a fight this may confuse someone if they do not expect you to punch with a different hand. First and foremost the simplest part of stance is your lead foot. If you are a right handed fighter you would stand different than a left handed fighter. There are called,
. Orthodox
. Southpaw
Orthodox Orthodox is what most boxers are. Orthodox means right handed. Right handed fighters involve jabbing with the left and crossing with the right. The strongest hand is at the back. Orthodox fighters stand with their left foot forward.
Southpaw
Southpaw is the opposite of orthodox. Southpaw means left handed. You jab with the right and cross with the left. A southpaw has the right foot forward and the left foot back. Southpaws are somewhat rare and get some criticism. But either way any stance is good.
