Just wanted to start a little debate. What are your views on God. Does he exist?

If there is a God, who is to say that it's a he. . i have no idea if i believe in God myself. However God and The Force are similar in description. People describe God as being everywhere, as is the force, people say that God is with us even in death, likewise with the force. you get the point i am making . People can say 'God doesn't exist' just as much as they can say 'The Force doesn't exist'. Personally i see them as the same thing, and either way if people believe in God then let them. If it helps them live better and happier lives then maybe it is best that we do not argue about it. I myself am very open about the idea of only one god, a lot of gods and goddesses, or an energy named the force, or anything for that matter. Everyone seems to have a different name for that one thing, only with slight differences in beliefs sometimes. e.g God will judge you when you die, and this idea of heaven and hell, whereas it does not really mention this when speaking about the force.
this is what i came up with so far.. I'm sure I'll add more later

Yes, people are open to their own beliefs. And as far as gender reference about God, you bring up an interesting point. In the bible, God is referred to as a HE because of the Hebrew translations as well as the social construct of soceity during that time. There was more of an alpha-male construct and thus for their to be a superior being, it was a "he". Note your own words though: SOME people call god a He. That doesn't mean everyone, and those that do obviously consider God a he, and those that don't, well they don't consider God a he. I have a very close friends who calls God a she.
In any case I do believe in a Higher Power, but I choose to call it the Force. It's much easier for me to grasp and understand.

I believe all God's to be anthropomorphic personifications of the Force.

God..hes a watcher, if religion would have you believe them he is a builder and a smiter, hes a lover of life but takes too early for many, he was apparently vengefull in the old days but now is peace loving. What is god.. the ultimate paradox.
Look at those characteristics... are these not jedi traits also??
